The project BluJo involves the production and distribution of two music videos:

What is the goal of the BluJo project?
The aim is for viewers to gain an emotional understanding of ME/CFS. Lack of knowledge leads to terrible misdiagnoses and mistreatment. The project’s motto is therefore: Make ME/CFS as well-known as cancer or migraines.
The project is also an example of how artificial intelligence can be used creatively, rather than just to produce low-quality content.

Why is the project called BluJo?
BluJo stands for “Blumen für Jonas”, the German title of the song and the music video. In English, it sounds like “Blue Jonas”. This is fitting given the severity of his illness. Just ME (icke) has an affinity for English.

Why is the music video called “Flowers for Jonas”?
Jonas spent about 8 years in darkness; his eyes were always covered because he couldn’t tolerate any light. Since Jonas has been able to see again for a few hours a day, his family has been placing flowers and plants within his field of vision.

What is “Flowers for Jonas”?
“Flowers for Jonas” is the English version of the song and the music video. On YouTube, this is a separate video. The English lyrics were also written by Just ME (icke). The melody is similar to that of the German version. The accompanying video is visually the same, except for the lyrics that appear on screen. Here, they are written in English. How elaborate was the BluJo project?
The production of the music video took half a year. The project consisted of the following phases: audio (song production), video, website, and distribution. This is explained in the “making-of” video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN4w6p3fCZg.

Who was involved in the BluJo project?
Only Just ME (icke) was involved in the BluJo project. Until shortly before the video’s release, no one even knew about it except Just ME (icke). The reason for this is explained at https://justme-icke.com/en/project-blujo/#secret.

Is “Flowers for Jonas” an AI video? Is “Flowers for Jonas” slop?
No, although AI was used. 30% of the scenes contain elements from AI video generators. However, none of the video clips generated with Runway or Kling AI were simply used as-is; instead, they were heavily edited. Often, the scenes are a mix of original footage, programmed effects from DaVinci Resolve (e.g., size and color adjustments), and parts from such AI-generated clips. The song “Blumen für Jonas” is AI-free—it was recorded using traditional methods, with nearly 60 tracks in the DAW (digital audio workstation) Reaper. The only minor exception: One of these tracks was created using the Audimee program—it is the original voice of Just ME (icke), transposed one octave lower, serving as one of five background vocals in the last 30 seconds of the song.

Aren’t videos created with the help of AI always further removed from reality than traditionally produced videos, and therefore deceptive?
No. The music video “Flowers for Jonas” contains some scenes that, despite AI elements, are closer to reality—thanks to their blending with real footage—than scenes shot with professional actors could ever be. Is the story told in the music video “Flowers for Jonas” real or fictional?
Everything shown and told in the music video “Flowers for Jonas” corresponds to the real-life experiences of Jonas and his family. The images and footage showing Jonas or his family are genuine recordings. Exceptions to this are a scene 30 seconds into the music video and the reenacted hospital stay of Jonas, for which there was no real footage and which is therefore captioned “Symbolic Representation” (begins at 3:51 min.). Why does the music video call for donations at the end, and what are these organizations?
The greatest hope of all ME/CFS patients is that research will finally discover effective treatments for ME/CFS. The Open Medicine Foundation in the U.S. is likely the leading international organization for ME/CFS research. The “End ME/CFS” project based there, led by the well-known researcher Ron Davis, works closely with many other researchers worldwide. Sharing research findings is key to achieving results more quickly for the many people living with ME/CFS. The second organization for which the music video calls for donations—the German ME/CFS Research Foundation—supports research projects and organizes the international ME/CFS conference, which has most recently been held annually at Berlin’s Charité hospital. Just ME (icke) has been familiar with these organizations for many years. The production of the video was not coordinated by Just ME (icke) with these organizations. There was no support from these organizations for the video, nor are there any other connections between Just ME (icke) and these organizations. However, both organizations have since publicly shared the video themselves. The ME/CFS Research Foundation at the conclusion of the conference on May 9, 2026, and the Open Medicine Foundation as part of its email and social media campaigns in late May 2026.

Isn’t Just ME (icke) just a self-promoter after all—simply “Just Me”—who is exploiting his son’s fate solely for his own media stunts?

Drag-O-Flynn	Drag-O-Flynn is the dragonfly that appears repeatedly in the music video, often dragging a banner behind it that reads “Replacement flying dragon.” At first, Drag-O-Flynn was supposed to fly like that in the scene where Dragomir is dancing the samba, but that would have been too much. Unlike the dragons, the dragonfly footage was not generated by AI generators; rather, it consists of real footage that was integrated into the music video.
Dragoduction	The dragons lightened the serious tone of the music video and contributed to the production through their roles in the video. That’s how the made-up word “Dragoduction” came about. When releasing the song on Spotify and other streaming services, Just ME (icke) had to list a label. But he didn’t have a record label because he had produced everything himself. So he listed “Dragoduction” as a fictional label.
